Acrylic Paintings Inspired by Victoria D Alma

This series of paintings, dedicated to Victoria D Alma, depicts the emotions experienced when interacting with this beautiful girl. From the first 10 years of contact with her expressive gaze, Victoria made it clear that she is a being of light sent to me with a special message. Hiding a life filled with powerful experiences as she faces a genetic condition known as univentricular heart, her illuminated face conveys strength, faith, hope, and, above all, a desire to learn and live. As an artist, I am motivated by this little life to capture on canvas the emotions experienced when interacting with Victoria. “Victorious Butterfly” is a series of ten acrylic paintings on canvas that graphically and colorfully depict the pleasant emotions I experience when sharing with Victoria in the art classroom where I teach.
